TRAINING THE BODY with the Tsigjong
The healing art of Tibetan yoga and medicine comes to you in this exceptional course, led by two internationally renowned teachers.
In this course, we will study and practice the Tsigjong, the first preliminary series of Yantra Yoga.
The Tibetan word Tsigjong is a compound consisting of tsig, meaning “joints,” and jong, “training.” According to Tibetan medicine, we have twelve major joints and 250 minor joints in the body, with their predominant elements being earth and water.
We will also explain the importance of joint health and its reflection on our overall well-being. This series releases tension in the major and minor joints, helps unblock them, and has a revitalizing and reenergizing effect.
In Yantra Yoga practice, we consider the Tsigjong the “warm-ups” for both the body and the breathing, creating a foundation for the subsequent practices.
All this will be accompanied by the extensive ancient knowledge of Tibetan Medicine, which explains how each exercise affects the body and subtle energy, and why these practices are so beneficial for overall health since they help in both preventing diseases and supporting healing treatments.
